When we think of bathroom fittings or accessories, the first thought that comes to our mind is the faucet, since it is of paramount importance when proper utilization of water is concerned. Not only that, a faucet can enhance the beauty of your bathroom with its uniqueness, style, and state-of-the-art structure or facility.

We, at Versa Bath Fittings, know how the quality of a bath fitting can be a real deal-breaker (we are also given the title of known as the ‘Best Faucet Manufacturers in India’ by our clients). Therefore, in this blog, we will discuss the step-by-step faucet manufacturing/tap manufacturing process and how it is delivered to our national and global clients after rigorous testing by our industry experts.

Without further ado, let us dive into the details:

  1. Purchasing and Assembling the Raw Material

The first & foremost step is to purchase the raw material, that is, 100% brass material. Our purchasing team makes sure that the material is 100% genuine and defect-free as part of ensuring resistance to hard water calcification (hard water calcium deposit) and corrosion.

  1. Die Making Process

A die, which is used for giving a desired form, shape, and finish to material, is created by us via VMC (Vertical Machining Center) machine.

  1. Casting and Moulding

The casting and Moulding process is done via core, which leads to the production of internal cavities and reentrant angles, that is, angles greater than 180 degrees. After that, the cores are destroyed and the inserted piece is taken out.

Also, the faucets’ main body is obtained via die casting, where the metal, in this scenario, brass, is melted at a high temperature and then transferred to moulds of the desired shape. The die casting method is employed to ensure dimensional consistency, flawless surface quality, and extreme precision of the bath fitting.

  1. Machining of the Faucet

This process includes the usage of machine tools such as milling, lathe, drilling, and boring to further ensure that the surface of the metal after die-casting is error-free, of top-notch quality, and meets all the requirements and standards. Moreover, through the machining process, the water passage is also smoothened.

  1. Grinding of the Faucet

The piece is given the desired shape and all the impurities are removed for achieving the perfect and smooth shape of the bathroom fitting. In this process, the piece is grated with the help of a high-speed machine as part of removing even the tiniest bit that is redundant.

  1. Polishing of the Faucet

This process is performed to guarantee an extremely smooth & shiny surface of the product. Polishing of the bath fitting is done by deploying a high-speed machine with a hemp/sisal wheel, and after its successful completion, the product (faucet) is sent for quality checking.

  1. Faucet with No Defects

Before sending the product for chrome plating, it goes through multiple quality checks by our testing team to achieve 100% quality finish and zero geometrical errors. In case of any defects such as non-symmetrical lines or any other flaw, the product is either sent back or is straight-away rejected.

  1. Chrome Plating/ Electroplating of Faucets

Electroplating acts as a protective barrier where its role is quite critical in ensuring a corrosion-free, flawless, and long-lasting faucet. The faucet is first cleaned with caustic and soda. After that, a coating of Nickel is applied to the product, which is then followed by chrome plating and other copper plating (at Versa, we ensure a chrome thickness of 10-12 micron).

On top of that, the quality of the exterior plating is once again tested and recorded by the quality analysts.

  1. Assembling the Faucet

All the parts of the faucet, that is, nozzle, handle, lift rod, cartridge, water inlets, and mixing chamber, are now assembled in a certain order with extreme precision. Proper assembly is done manually by our team, which leads to determining the faucet’s quality and functioning.

  1. Testing of the Faucet

The faucets are then tested with air first and then with water where their durability, dimensions, etc. are taken into consideration. If the product is 100% defect-free, it is then marked (branding on top) via laser marking machine, cleaned with the faucet cleaner, and packed in boxes followed by carton packaging.

  1. Faucet Delivery

After meticulously packing the products, we deliver them to our B2B and B2C customers across the globe.

This blog clearly highlights the manufacturing process of faucet and how perfection is the first concern at Versa Bath Fittings, Faucet manufacturers in Delhi. From purchasing the faucet’s raw materials to their successful delivery, all our attention is given to the faucets’ quality, durability, smoothness, and proper functioning.
